Free Flight VR

Free Flight is a VR experience about the story of two griffon vulture eggs, found in the Amsterdam zoo ARTIS. The zookeepers couldn’t find out which vulture laid the egg and were about to hatch the eggs artificially, when they noticed a gay vulture couple was building a nest. The handlers put the eggs in the nest and the couple started taking care of them immediately. They hatched the eggs and nurtured the chicks into adulthood.

The two young griffons were released into the wild of Sardinia, to help restore the local vulture population. The VR storyteller, WeMakeVR and ARTIS made a stereoscopic VR film of the release so everybody could experience this beautiful moment.
